I don't feel like shelling out tons of money on a gym membership but I would really like to play some basketball with other guys. Anywhere I can do that? Nothing too competitive! I played through high school but I'm not in that great of shape these days

Raleigh Parks & Recreation has some courts indoor and outdoor.

Might try there.

The Town of Cary also has open basketball--$4.00 per session (less if you buy a punch card). You can check their website (townofcary.org) for details.

You didn't say where you are located, but in North Raleigh at Millbrook Exchange Park there are guys there playing pickup basketball nearly every evening and on weekends too. Check out any of the local parks near you that have BB facilities in addition to the rec dept in your town. Check Craig's List too and you can always place a free ad on there if you're willing to help pull together a group to play.

ahhh well isn't there a HUGE community center in Morrisville? I'm sure I saw one whilst driving around there the other week. And I bet they have a whole bunch of BB courts too. Drive by there anytime on the weekend or after work and see if there are any games going...or you can ask one of the guys you see there if they know of any ongoing games or leagues. Plus of course the front desk of the rec center.

Don't forget Craig's List as well.
