It's right at the entrance to the neighborhood....I think that's Willow Springs but I may be wrong.
You're getting pretty far from Durham for this guy

It may as well be in the median of 40 its that close to the highway. Does anyone know anything about this property? It just doesn't make sense to me. Fancy designer new construction on top of a major highway and on a main road and like at the entrance to a subdivision too (wellington forest? where homes are listing over $300,000). Someone please explain or commiserate!

I've often wondered if this house was supposed to be used as commercial space. You know, like the Fonville Morisey office at the intersection of Hope Valley Road and Hwy 54. It would certainly make more sense than trying to sell it as a residential property!

first of all, i'm so glad i'm not the only who this house drives nuts!

second of all, MrsSteel: we thought it would be a great office for a custom builder! build the house. everyone can see it. make it gorgeous inside and out. work from it. but apparantly not.

There is a huge "house" just off of US 1 in youngsville, it is owned by a builder, and is a FM realty office. They did an article about it in the wake weekly, and the builder said the same thing, it is a great way to showcase his work, it created interest and people were able to see what his buildings/homes really looked like.

FINALLY found out something about this house.

It's a private residence, listed for sale at $569,000 (YIKES!)

It's 4200 square feet, 5 bed/3.5 bath, 2/3 acre of land

I don't care how beautiful the home and land is (it is very pretty) but with that location I think they'd be lucky to get $369,000.

I don't know, when I lived in DC it seemed like people wanted to build huge houses right off the highway
