I was gone for 2 weeks and I'm glad to hear this since we need the rain. Too bad it was on the weekend and affected the 4th of July fireworks though.

Had a nice storm come through N. Raleigh. Finally upped our weekend totals to around an inch I believe.

Quite a bit of rain in Apex the past few days - I hope my sod doesn't drown! At least I won't have to water for at least a week!

Hip, Hip, Hoo-rain...Hip, Hip, Hoo-rain!

Having just come here from Southern California, I love the rain and thunderstorms. Like the song goes "It never rains in California". DH and I just enjoyed dinner on the porch sheltered from the rain. It was so romantic! It really poured last night in N. Raleigh.

It's all me, I tell you. I've lived in New York, St. Louis, Massachusetts, and now Raleigh over the last 13 years, and the one time I had a drought, upon my arrival in New York, it quickly vanished thanks to the remnants of Hurricane Opal. So we should be getting out of a drought here in a few weeks.

Someday I'll tell you about my ability to bring good fortune to local sports teams. (Hint: I moved to just outside Boston in May, 2001 and moved in June, 2008.)

You call what the Patriots did in the Superbowl good luck? I am a Pat's fan. So you were the one that did that to them.

Hey, I think winning three Super Bowls in my first five years in town qualifies as "pretty good."

Yes, but that last one would have been so special. 19-0.
