We were sitting in our secret undisclosed location waiting for the fireworks to start. Good thing we got there early! Fireworks starting booming at 8:34pm from Symphony Lake in Cary.

I just checked WRAL to see if they had any feedback from angry viewers, but they aren't even reporting Cary's fireworks went off early. They are reporting the fireworks at the fairgrounds in Raleigh went off 1/2 an hour early.

The Cary fireworks were over and we headed towards Holly Springs hoping to catch theirs as well. We didn't make it in time, but were able to catch a glimpse of them from H.S. road near the Middle & Elementary school.

They had to try to beat some of the storms coming in. It was a race between made made fireworks & natural ones.

Oh yeah. I totally understand WHY they did it. Good thing too because while we were catching glimpses of the Holly Springs fireworks that started at 9pm the rain started coming down. I was glad they did or else we might not have gotten to see them this year. Sun. night we have to have the kidlet in bed early for her first day of kindergarten on Monday.

Glad you got to see them and best wishes for the kidlet's first day.
