It is interesting that the friends of the wife told police that they think the husband murdered her. I wonder...does anyone really know what goes on in another person's house?
My friends think hubby is a saint! I'll agree with them 95% of the time but every once in a while, when he is in a bad mood...he can get quite frustrated and angry. None of my friends have ever seen this once a year occurance so they THINK they know him but do they really?
I read the various affidavits filed and published by WRAL today and man....that was one bad, dysfunctional relationship, according to 7 witnesses by the plaintiffs. All consistent in the basic facts. Talk about some controlling behaviors. :-O That poor woman.
I'm not going to speculate on this case (even though I do have an opinion). I will say that the statement that he is not going to his wife's funeral unfairly invokes some sort of suspicion. The reality is that there are at least 3 services I have heard of and all were planned by the victim's family who for obvious reasons have an estranged relationship with Brad Cooper. I am sure they would have tolerated his presence but I don't know that it was exactly "welcomed" either. In these circumstances I would say a private or somewhat private ceremony for/by the husband would be more warranted, for his sake, and that of her family.
I have read the affidavits from her friends & I have read Brad Cooper's affidavit. It really disturbs me that friend after friend called him socially ackward. Just because Nancy was outgoing and surrounded herself with friends doesn't mean because her husband wasn't like that he was socially ackward. Some people are just not people persons. That doesn't make them a murderer. Several of the affidavits state that the person believes he killed his wife too. I thought that was kind of ballsy. Wow. I do have to say that that $300 a week is more than enough $$ to buy groceries for the family & things needed for the house. My dh & I have a similiar arrangement where I only get $160 a week for groceries and things we need, but I also have a credit card to charge things as well if we need them. I can't imagine what it would be like if my dh decided he didn't want to give me money one week & took away the credit card. A SAHM's worst nitemare. We give up so much to become mothers and surrender our independence....
I think each are telling the truth as they knew it, but the truth lies somewhere inbetween. I hope for those girls' sake their father didn't do it. I don't understand if Brad Cooper is the killer why the police would be canvassing the neighborhood looking for leads. That leads one to think the murder was randon which the police have so vehmently denied.
I'm also starting to wonder if it was a random act/Brad had nothing to do with it.
