Hello,
I'll be arriving from Canada to the Raleigh Airport later this month to pick up a car that i purchased out of Mebane (supposedly closeby to Chapel Hill).
Anyone have any suggestions on how I would get there? I don't want to rent a car ....
Cheap taxi anyone?

Airport shuttle service... Or maybe there's a bus. You can do a search on Google or contact RDU information services at the airport to inquire. Also, if you're staying in a hotel some of them (the larger ones) do offer shuttle service from RDU.
There are no cheap taxis. I paid $50 for a taxi from North Durham to the airport not too long ago. I called around and that was the best deal. Never heard of a zip car. That's a cool idea. I also like the idea of car sharing on craigslist. Good luck.
Are you coming in on a weekend or afternoon/evening? I'll take you for 40 bucks....I live near enough to RDU and my golf club is in Mebane...everyone is right, though - it's about 30 miles, a Cab would be 100 bucks if you could negotiate a flat rate.
