Does anyone know where I would call/go to find out about CPR and first aid classes for my 12 year old. We are just considering letting her start to baby sit, Before that can happen I want to make sure she has the right tools and knowledge.... We are close to knightdale but anywhere in the area is fine...

Thanks

Here's the site for local Red Cross classes. She might want to start with their babysitting class. My niece took it and found it very useful.

Default CPR Class Locator (Free)

Best bet is to look up cpr classes on the web: AmericanHeart.org or Redcross.org and search or "locate" a class near you (near your zipcode). For Example in Grand Rapids Michigan you will have the opportunity to search the Red Cross Website or American Heart Website for your cpr classes. At 12 years of age they are eligable to attend any of the classes. In your case an American Red Cross Babysitting Class would be best and they just came out with new materials and lessons plans
Thanks, Richard K. (Rockford Ambulance Ed. Coordinator) Grand Rapids Area.

Just a note that the babysitter training class does not teach or certifiy an adolescent in CPR. Your child will need to sign up for the actual CPR class not babysitter training.
