My understanding is outside town limits of Apex is the lowest (as Apex has the lowest tax rate in Wake county), and towns within Orange county have the highest.
Wake Forest has the highest tax rate within Wake County.
Which city within the Triangle area has the cheapest taxes? Thanks!
Cary has the cheapest tax rates, but don't call us a city. We are happily known as a town. We even changed all the city signs to town signs. See the Wake county link below.

Thanks!
Katie,
If you are not in a city, you will only pay County taxes.
If you are in a city, with city services, you will pay City and County Taxes on your evaluation.
Tax rates vary, with Cary, Apex, and Raleigh being low in Wake County, but less expensive homes may have a lower tax bill, due to lower tax value assessment.

Well, that's not entirely true. The lowest tax rates in Wake county can be found outside the town limits of ANY city in Wake county. Not just Apex.
