Of course it's possible. We have TWC internet, buy internet phone from a company called Callcentric (or you could use Vonage or whatever), and use rabbit ears for TV. Your choice of TV reception is a completely independent choice, but of course TWC will charge you full price for whatever you do buy from them--as opposed to the $100 bucks a month for all three from them.
Anyone know if this combo is possible? I'm very happy w/ TWC phone and internet -- but hate the cable and want to switch to Directv.
I do this exact thing, actually. They will give you a promotion offer just for the phone and internet. I now pay 58.25 for the phone & internet from the dreaded TWC, but its better than Bellsouth can do. DirecTV is the best..
TWC will give you a deal on the internet/phone combo. But what we do is get cable internet through Earthlink (uses TWC cable, and TWC even bills us, but since we signed up through Earthlink, it's cheaper than JUST internet through TWC.) Then we use ViaTalk VOIP phone, and rabbit ears for TV.

Wow! That's good to know. When we cut the phone cord, TWC was not willing to give us any kind of deal on their phone service...maybe it depends on when you call or who you talk to...
Thanks, all! I guess my question was more about the wiring -- I thought the dish and cable used the same wiring, so just wondered if the phone/internet and the dish would be compatible. Thanks, again!

You'd have to have separate cable (wire) feeds for each. Also, satellite generally requires a higher grade of cable than cable TV requires (although many newer homes already have it). So you might require some additional or different wiring to accommodate satellite TV.
