I have no answer but I love this thread and will do a taste test.

I miss the milkshakes from Steak and Shake (Florida)...need to replace them in my heart and soul.

Ahhh I forgot about them! Steak and Shake milkshakes are sooooooo good! There is one in Burlington I used to always stop at on my way home from college.

Does anyone know off hand if there is a Sonic in Durham? The commercials tempt me.

Unfortunately, the answer is no. I love their cherry limeades. There is a Sonic in Wake Forest, Raleigh, Mebane, & Graham, but none in Durham.
