Default What size/type of steel do you need cut?

The type of material will make a difference:
  1. Heavy structural steel such asangles, beams, channels (some type of flame torch or possibly powered saw with oil),
  2. Sheet steel (powered sheet metal shear),
  3. Light gage steel (hack-saw or porta-band, or sawzall)

There are types of steel then you say, eh!?!

What I have are steel supports for granite slabs. No idea what kind that might be but they are not sheets or very light.

Need them cut and smoothed.

Try Durham Brazing and Welding on Roney Street. It's been quite a few years since I went there, but they are still listed in the phone book. They provided me with many metal bits and pieces over the years, including Ibeams and steel plates. My strategy was to show up in person with the item that needed cutting (or drawing of what I needed). It's fun to watch too!

Do they look anything like these granite countertop supports? If so, a welding shop should be able to cut them for you.
