In terms of the signal and price, which carrier is better?

Which one has better deal for a family of two?

Thanks a lot

I don't know about price, but I've had better luck with signal on my AT&T phone than my Verizon phone (one work, one personal).

Verizon has unbelievable coverage in and around the Triangle. I get a great signal everywhere I travel and that includes my broadband service as well. I use Sprint for my business cell and the quality is noticeably lower than what I have with Verizon.

As for pricing I'm not sure how it stacks up against AT&T but I've always consider my plan with Verizon to be reasonable (my core plan plus $9.99 for the extra line - we share the minutes).

I should also point out that I live and work in North Raleigh. But I have never, ever had a problem with signal strength anywhere I've traveled around the area.

Default eeee

I have Verizon and cant wait to get rid of it. Lived in Cary for 6 months and couldn't get more than 1/2 a bar signal in my house. Had to go outside to take a call. Also dropped calls driving all over Raleigh. Had my phone replaced 5 times as battery would loose charge after 16 - 20 hours trying to pick up signal. Must have wasted about 20 hours with Verizon customer care and no resolution. Moved to Holly Springs last month and signal not much better can get signal if I'm upstairs now.
I guess if you can get a good signal in your house/area than its all good but I can't. Just my 2c

I agree with import07. We live in south Cary and have Verizon for our 4 cell phones. We, too, have to go outside to talk on our cell phones because the reception inside the house is so bad. And dropped calls while in the car around this area (Cary/Holly Springs/APex) are very common. I complained at the Verizon store and was told a technician would come out and check the signal at our house. That was over a month ago, and I haven't heard a word from them. I think I'm ready to move on to another service provider.

Verizon is buying AllTel.
AllTel arguably has the best local network.

By the end of the year, Verizon should have superb local coverage.

I am much happier with ATT coverage than Verizon. ATT also have the iphone which persuaded me to switch from Sprint. Verizon was very spotty around here, although that was a few years ago. We moved from FL and verizon were great there but not here. Of course, both are head and shoulders over Sprint who are absolutely terrible.

I have Verizon and have never had a problem here in the Triangle. I am very happy with the service it provides.

Check with your employer as many companies are partnered up with cell phone companies to offer nice discounts. I think I get a 19% discount through my employer on my service plan with Verizon.
