I think that is the right spelling for those towns. Anyway, I've seen some LOVELY listings for historic homes in these towns. What are these towns like? Are all the houses well kept? Or are they run down?

Also, I know Wake Forest has a historic part to it. Is the historic part called something? If so...it would be easier for me to look whilst brousing for houses.

thanks!

The Historic area of Wake Forest is called....The Historic District. Very descriptive if not every original. It is the area around North Main Street and Downtown. The homes are well maintained for the most part and several have undergone extensive renovations in recent years.

There are so many threads about Wake Forest around here you should be able to read through them and get a good feel for the town. It's a growing community with lots of things right within the town, and very close to Raleigh for everything else.

I don't have much information about Oxford and Louisburg, but they are commonly considered not to be part of the actual Triangle area, are very much small towns (which some people like) further out from most activities and shopping and their schools are not as good as Wake County's.
