We are building a house in Clayton and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on where to get some good kitchen cabinets that won't cost more than our house? Does anyone know of any outlet centers or anything like that where you can get quality cabinets for a little bit less? Thanks!

Others have recommended the place in Tarrymore Square at Capital Blvd and New Hope Church Road in Raleigh. Sorry, I can't recall the name!

We went to Kitchen and Bath Gallery in Durham- Hwy 54 just north of Southpoint- and they had some great mid-grade cabinets. I think there's also a Raleigh showroom, as well as stores in several other Triangles "towns". Mike

The place on Capital is Surplus Warehouse. I purchased and installed a set of unfinished cabinets there. They run ~$75-$200 a unit and are all plywood construction. I've been very happy with them.

Finished cabinets there run a bit more, but I found the maple ones to be comparable to KraftMaid for a lower price.

I would go with Raleigh Premium cabinets (just google for contact info). Mine just came in yesterday and I couldn't be happier! I got quotes at I think EVERY single cabinet place in Raleigh and this place definitely had by far the most bang for your buck! We worked with Ted and he was great. He's a very trustworthy guy and he really took the time to talk with us about what we wanted and what would be the best fit for your kitchen. He was very quick with responses to emails and calls and went out of his way to help us.
