I was just at Lowe's and Kroger's today. The Boar's Head prices were cheaper at Kroger's for sure. Example: All turkey at Lowe's was $9.99/lb. All roast beef was $10.99/lb. At Kroger, all turkey was $8.99/lb, and the roast beef was $9.99/lb. So now I know to go to Kroger instead of Lowe's for my lunch meat!
Does Kroeger carry a wide variety of the boars head meats or just particulars? I haven't used a Kroeger in 2 years now. And last time I went the variety was slim pickin'. Would be nice to know they have loads of choices now.
And to autumngal, yes, Kroger seems to carry a pretty good variety, especially of hams (at least at the Durham Northpointe Kroger...but deli service there is slow.)
Kroger has a pretty good variety. Lots of different hams, turkeys, cheeses and other various meats. This is the Kroger on Maynard and High House in Cary.
Lowe's does have more of the specialty stuff -- two kinds of prosciutto, for instance. But not all Lowe's have as much variety. The one at the corner of Davis and High House, for instance, carries less than the one at the corner of Cary Parkway and High House.

Thanks. I will check out a Kroeger sometime, see what's happening with them again.
I'm pretty sure Roma's Italian (it's a bakery... best Italian bread this side of Endicott, NY).. carrys Boar's Head.
