I drove around this afternoon to check out the availability of gas in the Brier Creek area and found 3 major gas stations with no gasoline:

1. BJ's (Brier Creek Commons)
2. Eagle (Brier Creek Parkway & Glenwood near Wendy's)
3. Fuel Stop (on Glenwood next to Bojangles)

People are going to be shocked on Monday morning to find no gas available at their favorite gas station. My advice: fill up today before the gas rush tomorrow.

It's bad advice like this which caused this "phantom" gas shotage in the first place. There are plenty of stations out there will ample supplies. Don't be a part of the problem and contribute to this self-fulfilling prophecy.

Oil futures went down today - early reports are that Ike did not cause major damage to the oil refineries in the gulf.

Eastgate Shell on Wake Forest Rd always had gas.

John's never the lowest price in town but values his customers and their repair business too.

You don't say

Funny how the media sensationalizes the storm, they report that gas will go up because refineries will be damaged (remember that these things are built to withstand hurricanes) so everyone goes out to top off their tanks. The gas stations take advantage of that by raising their prices, and then it is announced that everything is OK. Nothing to worry about here citizens

I agree....I steered clear of any gas stations, filled up last Wednesday, and I still have a 1/2 tank, I don't plan on going to the gas station today, holding out at least until Wednesday/Thursday. My opinion, it will adjust back to normal in the next day or so...Happy Monday
