Hi guys,

We just moved to the area. And the engine light is on for our 2000 Accord. Autozone said the code says it's the oxygen sensor. We found the car is sometimes shaking when idling. So it's the time to have it checked. Any recommendation for a reliable shop? I'm in Cary. But any areas around is ok.

If you have recommendations on a glass shop, that will be helpful as well. We need to replace our wind shield as well.

Thank you very much!

Make sure your gas cap is tightly closed. That can trigger the check engine light with an oxygen sensor warning.

Also the hose to your PCV valve could be disconnected. Every time I had my car worked on at Leith Toyota they always forgot to reconnect the hose and the check engine light would come on. Needless to say I quit taking my car there. MPG Automotive in North Raleigh only works on Hondas and Toyotas. They are near Capital Blvd on one of the side streets between Millbrook and Spring Forest.

Definately go to Quality Plus Automotive in Wake Forest --- Randy is the best!!! We have a 1993 Honda Accord with 270k miles on it and it runs like a dream --- and when you have a car that old ya gotta have a great mechanic. Very honest place to do business with!!

FYI if it is the oxygen sensor, it may be covered under the Federal Emissions Warranty if your car is younger than 8 years or 88k miles.
