Yup...he was fast as anything! I put a tupperware bowl on him til morning, and he wasn't dead. I think that's exactly what it was, though, a wood or outside roach. Gross- yes, but not the beginning of being infested I'm sure. thanks- I'll sleep better tonite!!!
LOL I just had a flashback! We lived in TX and had those HUGE roaches now and then...I used tupperware too! LOL I told my husband that they were so darn big that I couldn't kill 'em *that's not a bug - it's a small animal!* Hopefully "Creepy" is a loner!
German cockroaches aren't common in Germany, oddly enough, but they are the nasty little buggars that hang out near food in your home or in restaurants. I'm mostly German, I take no offense to the name! American cockroaches are aka palmetto bugs.
I honestly didn't know what one looked like until I moved to NC. I panicked when I saw my first one and I had my back door open and it flew right in. I didn't know they flew either. I was ready to put the for sale sign in the front yard and move back to CT. :-) I sat on my bed waiting for it to appear again and when I saw it walking on the rug I hit him with a can of rug shampoo. The rug shampoo began wiggling and then I had to figure out what to do next.
amc- funny- I threw tupperware in trash and my husband was like "You can wash it!"...I said " I will buy more tupperware. do NOT take that out of the trash!!"
Gross
One place had been flooded and it was awful. Couldn't throw everything in the trash.
