Satire: –noun 1. The use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc. 2. A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit.

It should not matter what the race of this worthless human was, just get rid of him and make the world safer for us all.
Unfortunately most crime threads on this forum become about race. I'm shocked nobody has suggested the criminal was bussed in yet

I, too, missed the satirical nature of your post when I first read it and I apologize for that. Last night, I sitting with my laptop and my DH was reading some of the posts with me. He immediately read your post as you meant it to be and was astonished that I had responded as I did. So, I'm really sorry about that...

Holly, I was actually referring more to JQ Public's post. Although have to admit that at first glance I didn't get the satire of it either. Looking back it is very obvious though. haha

I blame the woefully inadequate selection of smilies on city-data.

I am still reeling from the fact that the TV news last night reported the rape of an "elderly woman" and then learn that she was 65. When did 65 become elderly?
65 has always been "elderly"--the start of Social Security (initially, anyway), Senior Discounts, etc. It's actually only recently that being in ones 60s has NOT been considered quite so "old" (especially since the Baby Boomers--who seem to define most social constructs in the US--started hitting 60!)
