There have been a couple of different threads with mention of weldon park (use the search feature and you can find them), I think there is at least one person who has purchased out there recently. In the area of weldon ridge there are a number of other new home communities, and it will all depend on your commute, where you are going, etc. Orleans builders is a national builder, but seem to build very nice homes, solid construction. The only issue I have heard regarding that neighborhood is the airplane noise, which is true for many neighborhoods in that part of town. It is something you may want to consider, and I would visit the neighborhood during peak flight times and see what it is like (in the evenings at dusk - can you hear the planes flying by????)
I have clients who were looking in north raleigh and we crossed a couple of homes off of the list because of the airport noise. We had to go to the neighborhoods a couple of different time and just stood outside to listen. At times there were planes flying overhead every 15 minutes.
Hopefully you will get some additional feedback as well.
