newsobserver.com | 2 Wake schools to end year-round schedule (http://www.newsobserver.com/news/education/wake/story/1246066.html - broken link)

Sorry to those of you at Leesville.

For those that want to stay YR Laurel Park would be the year-round option for Baucom. Carpenter would be the year-round option for Green Hope.

Carroll and West Millbrook middle schools could serve as traditional calendar options for Leesville Middle.

I know Lori Millberg will not be running again (she's my BOE representative). There are 3 additional seats that will be up for re-election in 2009 those are Eleanor Goettee, Patti Head and Horace Tart.

I had not seen this so thanks for posting. We are in GHE although it looks like that change will not happen for two years. I am fine with YR schedule but I did see a potential problem with Davis Middle being on traditional. I think it's the consistency that is the biggest issue.
