We just moved to North Raleigh (Creedmoor Rd area)...... and for the past couple of days, there have been bells ringing in the afternoon. We thought at first that it was church bells, but it's not on the hour.... and not just ringing the number of hours..... they are playing songs! Anyone know what this is? Does this happen all the time out here? We're not complaining... it's pretty cool to be sitting outside and listening to the bells...... but we are curious as to from where it is coming. We saw a bell tower of sorts on the grounds of a school on Creedmoor road, but they were silent when we were driving by. Can anyone enlighten us?!

Did you attempt to find where it was the loudest , Alot of Church Bells are in the Steeple but it actually a huge sound system it timer could be off and some do it on the half hour. What kind of music are you hearing church, satantic, smurfs theme song?

I'll bet it's the Raleigh Ringers, a handbell group. Here's there website. The Raleigh Ringers (http://www.rr.org/index.html - broken link)
They list their home as off Creedmoor Rd just south of Brennan Station shopping center. Is this close to you? See map

I think the Bell tower of sorts is a cell phone tower in disguise
