Credit crunch to affect Wake school assignments :: WRAL.com

Looks like the early affects on the area due to the national credit crunch! Can't issue bonds to pay for the necessary school changes which would of helped the over crowding in the Wake County Schools and would of given parents a 3 year window on where their children would be assigned within the next 3 years. Without the funding this planning window will no longer be possible per the article.

This is just their latest excuse for not giving a 3 year plan. There have been others before.

newsobserver.com | Wake's all-year lawsuit lives on (http://www.newsobserver.com/news/education/story/1197216.html - broken link)

Then the change from late October as stated here (WCPSS:Board Briefed on Multi-Year Assignment Process) to now releasing the plan in November.

IF we ever get a 3 year plan it won't really tell you anything as they've always said they will make changes to the 3 year plan if they conditions require it...well they can make up all kinds of conditions to "require" changing the plan so I wouldn't base your vacation plans around the 3 year assignment policy.
