Does anybody know when 540 from 40 to Holly Springs will be completed?

How long is the morning commute right now from Sunset Oaks Subdivision to RDU Airport?

Thanks!

It hasn't even been permitted yet.

I think you're thinking the stretch from 40 to the upper part of 55, in RTP, not Holly Springs.

RRob would you know a web site that shows any of this? The place we are renting literally has orange stakes in the yard where 540 will be----but, some of the "old time" neighbors say it won't happen in their life time (they think).

For the past 3 days there has been a construction looking group (with orange vests...etc...)polking around the area---my first thought that it had to do with the 540.

It's not too big of a deal because our lease is up in June---however, we like this area so much, we where thinking about staying close, but, not if this stretch IS going in anytime soon. Any thoughts? BTW, we are off of 55 north of Apex (is that the area you are talking about?)

The part of I-540 that's currently under construction by DOT, from I-40 to NC 55 in RTP: http://www.ncdot.org/projects/i540/

The part that will be built by the Turnpike Authority (also known as "Western Wake Parkway") from NC 55 in RTP to NC 55 in Holly Springs: http://ncturnpike.org/projects/Western_Wake/

Thank You for the clearifaction...so it looks like the 540 under DOT is further north (basically in Morrisville). I'm going to check into the web sites you gave--thanks!
