Printer's Alley is good for upholstery and fabrics for home decoration. I think they actually will make your drapes and whatnot in house. Decorative Fabrics in Durham is by far the fanciest fabric store I've been to in the area, it's also for home decoration. I'm not sure if Decorative Fabrics is still there; I haven't been in about a year. Their selection was pretty awesome, though pricey.

For clothing fabrics, I really can't help you.

Well, I have a really large fabric collection you might be interested in... (kidding!)

I have heard that The Scrap Exchange in downtown Durham has lots of interesting fabrics. In fact, they just had some kind of fabric sale last Saturday. Missed it myself, but I bet they've still got lots of stuff for you to look at.

You've seen the bumper sticker: she who dies with the most fabric, wins!
