A group of my friends are hitting DT Raleigh tonight for dinner..... I am pretty stumped to where to go. My friend said she wanted to go somewhere "fun" and reasonably priced. I'd rather not go to the big three on Glenwood (Red Room, Hi -5, Bogarts) and I ruled out Tir Na Nog.

I was thinking about trying Poole's Diner tonight but I've heard mixed reviews on their service and prices. So I am opened for suggestions.....

42nd Street Oyster Bar is great for groups, good food, not too too expensive.

I think the PIt is a good choice. Items on the menu range from $12 to high end. Good bar, good service (at least when I have been there). Can hit several bars in walking distance after.

Just curious why you ruled out Tir Na Nog?

What type of food and what do you consider reasonably priced?

Here is a master list of places downtown.

Under 18 an entree I think would be reasonable.

Ah - thanks! I was planning on checking it out when I got there and was wondering if there was some reason that I shouldn't!

Caffe Luna handles big groups well, but make a reservation. You didn't specify how many people were joining you.

Poole's is tiny. Good, but tiny. They'd have trouble with a group bigger than 6 or 8, I think.
