Yep I pass one of those "trees" every day on the way home from work on the Garden State Parkway. Don't even notice it anymore.

Many, many thank you's for the photo's. They provide a true feel of the neighborhoods. The best I've seen so far. Would love to see those types of photos of the more upscale less cookie cutterish neighborhoods.

I has to pick up my daughter today in downtown...at rush hour. I left northern Granville county at 5:00....hit 540 (at Hwy 50) to Capital at 5:25 and was in the heart of downtown going straight down hwy 1 by 5:50..

Capital was not a problem into downtown (then again, I did by-pass the very worst of the problem....that troublesome portion south from Burlington Mills.

WOW!!! Those were some awesome pictures! PLEASE PLEASE give us more. My husband and I will be taking a trip to the Durham/Raleigh area just to check it out. We're currently in Austin, and I'm itching to leave. This area seems to be exactly what we're looking for. But man - can anyone say 'zero lot lines?' I had no idea Raleigh was so hilly - which I love.
We have that sticker 'Woff and Meow Spoken Here' too!

To anyone that responds...thanks for your help!
Those apartments are the Overlooke at Simms Creek apartments. They're relatively new... only about 4 years old. They're near the intersection of Capital Blvd. and Durant Rd. I love the floorplans. All apartments include washer and dryer. The two bedroom two bathroom units even have a full sized laundry room......which doubles as my dog's play room. The prices are very affordable. 3 bedroom 2 bathroom units run around $800ish. 2 bedrooms are around $720ish and 1 bedrooms run around 600ish. http://www.overlookeatsimmscreek.com

Such great pictures! OK some of those places make me want to stick a fork in my eye. I swear I would accidentally go to someone else's house thinking it was my own. (I have done this with cars). I like the nice hilly, windy roads of that one subdivision, though.

Great pictures! Yes, it does bring back memories of my 2 years in NoVA--the
Boston 'burbs are very different. But I've also found some areas of the Triangle that are very different too--and you'd have to travel far outside Fairfax County Va to find the same.

Is it my imagination or were there actually LEAVES on some of the trees in DECEMBER? I've been in New England for 10 years. Leaves on trees are gone by Halloween around here and not seen again until Mid-May. ::sigh::
