the suburban sprawl part is annoying, but a lot of places have that in areas. (i never knew there were Super Targets as well)

but that traffic doesn't look bad. i should take a picture of my evening commute, and this is an hour outside of boston...

It is a half hour drive and sometimes more to SE Raleigh. I used to live in North Raleigh and often commuted to this side of town. My mom also worked in SE Raleigh HS for some time and the drive was awful.

Getting from N to SE Raleigh is one of the more difficult commutes IMO.

those cookie cutter subs look just like our big suburban developments here in colorado. only out here in the west, they go -- no exaggeration -- for MILES AND MILES. like, to the horizon. crazy.

I liked the pics of suburbia Raleigh. It was really helpful since I'm considering moving to Raleigh. Do all the suburbs look the same? Do you have any on Apex & Cary? How about some schools? You were on a roll

Thanks for the great pictures. I am currently looking to relocate to Raleigh. Maybe you could sort of inform on the areas. Actually anyone that has more pics or knows about the different areas any info would greatly be appreciated. I have a 14yr old son and Chicago is not the safest place for. My son is an awesome footbal player and track runner so if anyone has any info ....Please HELP!

Not all North Raleigh Neighborhoods fall under this stereotype. The OP must have missed this gem in North Raleigh! There are others as well. North Raleigh has many different options for many different tastes.
