Hey City-Data Folks!

I am looking to celebrate my wife and my anniversary and I am looking for some weekend getaway suggestions. This is our 6th wedding anniversary and our 10th anniversary of our first date. We have already done the following in and around the triangle area:

1. The Biltmore
2. B&B outside of Chapel Hill
3. Outer Banks
4. Charleston
5. Savannah

This will only be a short 3 day weekend, so we are hoping for something relatively close. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Matt

New Bern, Wilmington or Valle Crucis (but might be cold that time of year).

Myrtle Beach, SC. Rates are very reasonable at that time of the year.

My husband and I went to Wilmington for our 5th anniversary and stayed here: Wilmington, NC B&B: The Verandas
Lovely place, with great restaurants within walking distance.

Tryon Palace in New Bern starts to decorate for Christmas around that time. They might be pretty close to having it all up since it is close to Thanksgiving. From the website it looks like a lovely place to experience at Christmas.

Also, in a similar fashion and closer to home, you might consider Old Salem in Winston Salem.

Have you considered The Grove Park Inn?

Wanted to bring this back to the top and see if there were any other ideas. We are looking to stay relatively close to the triangle, so a drive around 2 - 2.5 hours. We are looking at Wilmington and possibly this B&B (Taylor House Inn Bed and Breakfast)

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I'd drive a bit further and go to The Grove Park Inn, as another poster suggested.

Get a couples' massage but make sure you book in advance.

I love that place!
