Did anyone else get snarled in the huge delay and detour on Fayetteville Road in SW Durham south of MLK Blvd this morning? What the heck was going on??

It took me half an hour to detour through the Bay Point subdivision out onto MLK!

Shame... but not surprising. No shoulder + close proximity of poles to the road + heavy traffic at rush hour. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often. With that new Lowe's going in, now they REALLY need to widen Fayetteville along that stretch, just like down near Sutton Station.
