Am watching the election coverage on my LCD HDTV. I enjoy watching Brian Williams on NBC, but I must say it's frustrating that WNCN (Raleigh NBC affiliate) still, in late 2008, does not have the equipment or the capability of inserting banners over the national coverage in HD, or broadcasting their own local news in HD. It makes NBC News' coverage much more difficult to watch as my HDTV downgrades the signal to std def - and it doesn't handle std def signals as well as a standard tube.
Anyone know when WNCN plans support HD with their local news coverage?

Good observation. Sorry I don't have an answer. I actually like the local NBC news but have switched to watching ABC and CBS since their local news is in HD. I will watch Brian Williams at 6:30 since that is HD but it is dissapointing the local NBC broadcast is not in HD.
yeah I couldnt read anything on NBC because the picture was so small and the image was fuzzy. Ive been sticking with CNN and MSNBC, especially once Dole got on the podium to bid farewell. Boohoohoo
