It is at the NW corner of Hwy 1 and Jenkins Road. I have 2 major concerns:

1. Traffic and future development associated with being so close to Hwy 1

2. Commute time to RTP.

Thanks in advance

I like that development, I never thought about it being impacted by US 1 (but I don't know how far back the development goes and how close the back section is to US 1). I think it is very conveniently located. To RTP, it depends on where you are going...........my husband commutes to miami blvd from purnell (about 3 miles from where river stone is), but you could go jenkins, to thompson mill, to 98, to olde creedmoor, etc If you are going to the miami blvd area, it would probably take between 35 and 40 minutes. The other option is capital (us 1) south to 540. I think traffic is the worst on capital after you get past burlington mills road until the 540 interchange (probably 7 miles???) I don't think you are stopped in traffice but it is slow. It would probably be about the same distance to rtp going that way.

Hope this helps!

Leigh

Miami Blvd is a long street. Can you be more specific?

I'd be going to Davis and Development (Sony Ericsson), at the south end of RTP. I mapped the route with Google Maps, and it said that the distance was 30 miles via US1 and 540. I'm betting that it would take me at least 35 minutes without traffic. I could avoid the US 1 traffic by taking 98 and 50, but then I couldn't go as fast as I could on 540, so I'll bet it would be a wash.

There may be some development...but I don't know of any specifically. I have friends that live just down from there (on Jenkins) and they don't find the traffic bad at this point and like how easy it is to hop on Hwy 1.

There was some talk of the golf course being sold and converted to housing...I know that folks were fighting this, but I don't know the outcome.

Commute to RTP someone else will have to answer....but it should be about what everyone else is claiming for the WF to RTP drive.

Yes, the newspaper ran stories on this last year at this time, but I haven't heard anything since then. Supposedly Centex was going to buy the land and build luxury homes (near $1M). Ha! That's an oxymoron.
