Hi,

Are the summers in NC hot and humid the entire time or just bad during August? By bad I mean you don't want to do anything outside...

Thanks!

Depends on where you are from. . . . .

If you live in Florida, summers here may be pleasurable. If you live in Arizona, they may be painful

I moved here from Dallas. Summers temperatures are about 5-10 degrees cooler here than in Dallas, but the humidity is about 10-20% higher. It all evens out.

Summers are normally very hot and very humid. Stay inside from 1-5pm and you should be able to deal with the rest.

I was in Vegas in August once and learned not to complain about the NC heat. In Vegas my sweat evaporated so quickly I felt miserable!

I was out all summer and loved every minute of it. No reason you can't be outside all day every day imo. It's hot but if you don't mind sweating, it's fine! Or go to a pool during the heat of the day if it bothers you.

I moved from LA to NC last winter.

This summer, which I am told was mild in comparison to past summers, was not nearly as bad as I expected.

While it was definitely humid and hot, it wasn't prohibitively so but for maybe one week in May and maybe a week in July or August. On the whole, it was nothing to be afraid of.

Yes it will be hot and humid June, July, and August. You will have days that aren't so bad, and some that are aweful. But like others say, it depends on where you come from and what you're comparing it to. This past summer was pretty mild.

We lived in Tampa and the summers in NC were as bad as the summers in FL (in terms of temperature and humidity), but they were shorter.

Weather.com has a neat comparison tool, but it's only for temperature (not humidity) so maybe you can compare where you are now to Raleigh.
