Mexican: El Rodeo. I lived in Arizona and Colorado and never found Mexican food there that I liked as much as I like El Rodeo. That said, El Rodeo doesn't hold a candle to the Mexican food I had in Mexico, and now that I'm in Durham I know I need to get out to some of the taquerias for some of the more authentic stuff.
I don't know... I rather like the extra "kick" in food from slightly dubious, always dim, sort-of-in-a-scary-part-of-town Chinese/chicken wing/Caribbean hole-in-the-wall, no-tables-take-out-only establishments.
