The weather was so nice today I figured it was the perfect time to get a jump on getting the outdoor Christmas lights set up before it gets too cold again. From the looks of things tonight, it would seem a couple of my neighbors had the same idea. So how many of you were hanging from the gutters of your house today hanging the holdiay lights?

Boxes come out of storage tomorrow followed by another week of procrastination and maybe, just maybe I'll have them up by the 24th. As long as the weather holds out of course.

Christmas tree is up and decorated. Mantel is chock full of Santa Clauses of all shapes with greenery and lights. Tacky tabletop light displays (angel, snowman, tree) are all displayed. Village with all the people on fluffy flocked white "snow" is all set up. All done last week -- well before Thanksgiving! First time in history. By the time Christmas gets here, we'll be sick of looking at it all, and it'll be easier to take down. In years past, it seems I no sooner put it up than it's time to take it all down, and it was a chore. I think early Christmas works just fine for us.
