And from reading just the subject line, I thought it was yet another person wanting to know where the Administrative Assistant jobs are.

Just goes to show ya ...

I thought it stood for "Active Adults". That was my best guess.

I'm going to suggest that you didnt stay very long or look very hard.

Yours is the kind of inquiry that we hear all the time.
"Where are the gays.......blacks.......single men/women........etc....?"
"I couldn't find any music.....theatre.......art.......culture.....etc. "
"Don't you have any lesbian vegan bistros in Raleigh?"

Seems like what some folks really want is to find their hometown in our hometown. Not likely.

However, you may find that we have to offer could be a new and interesting experience that you might enjoy: a culturally diverse cross section of America.

Come back and take a closer look, and leave the blinders at home.

Regards,

Nope, this is it. Art, music, theatre, nightclubs, parks, sports, etc. Sorry we can't offer more.

I think you might like Charlotte, though.

Thanks for the tip on 'etc.', though. I hope I used it properly. If not please feel free to condesend to my lack of sophistication again. This time, talk slower and use little words.

Sheesh!

Default I was confused too....

I read the title and also initially thought Alcoholics Anonymous, then I wondered if maybe it was a job seeking reference to Associate of Arts degree holders, then I read the posting and was completley baffled.

A wake-up call to all of us to avoid use of acronyms and abbreviations without first using the unabbreviated term/name.

I read the title and thought African American's. But then I read someone's post that say it could have meant Asian American's.

I'm voting for Asian Americans - that's the first thing that popped into my head (I'm from Seattle; large asian population).

Barrister5, this is a wonderful forum with very helpful people, so ask tons of questions - they really are here to help, they are just easily confused.
