I've liked DMB for a long time, and they just announced a release date and mini-tour for their new album, but this is relevant to anyone...

Of 14 shows, they're playing 2 in NC...one in Charlotte, and one in Raleigh!
I was sort of under the impression that NC gets few big name bands, and they'd never really be in Raleigh. I'm quite pleased SOMEONE famous out there recognizes that Raleigh is cool!

Lots of big name bands have played here recently. I can think of REM and the Chili Peppers off the top of my head. U2 a few years back... Lots of mid-level and club-level acts come through this area as well.

They have been here many times before, usually Walnut Creek.

LOL Wake up piggie this is the Triangle not Mayberry! Really getting tired of people thinking this area is insignificant on so many levels its not New york I know but gimme a break ....... Big acts come through here and play walnut creek, and the RBC center ALL the time. AAAAAaaaand before the RBC center plenty of shows went on at the Dean dome. lol and a DMB concert really isnt that impressive since they really have come here every summer for the last 100 years like everyone else stated. You may as well have posted you were shocked Disney on ice is coming through town.

I am more shocked when bands don't play here, like Guns N' Roses, I would have paid to see them, but in Greensboro? No frickin way.
