There is a nice little while store that just opened up in Brier Creek on the Walmart side, across from panera. Not in Durham but very close.

In SW Durham, there's one in Sutton Station (Fayetteville just south of Woodcroft) and there's also one across from Southpoint in the REI/Best Buy Plaza. It's on the west side of the plaza, facing east...I think it's near Coldstone or something.

I read about this place on the BullCityRising website. It sounds like a very nice place to buy wine in Durham.

Wine Authorities is great! The owners are really good guys who have been in the business for a long time. Both used to be reps for are distributors. Like Wine 101, they have a system where you can buy tastes, glasses, etc. Plus, they don't carry any bottles over $50, so you don't have to feel uncomfortable picking up anything.

Great to hear people are enjoying the store. As for the kids running around, they were probably MINE. Everyone else's kids behave in the store except ours! Point is well taken and sure want everyone to feel at home and have a great wine experience. LOVE all of the feedback. Hard work that is worth every second. Cheers!

No worries Joe -- the store ROCKS -- and my kids were there a few times too -- we're just happy that you cater to and understand family life.

Understanding family life does not mean loud children! How is having children behave in a place of business 'anti family'?

Zoya, could not agree with you more. That's why our kids come in for a quick hello and are whisked out fairy quickly. Most people get it which is nice. I have not been afraid to step in and keep little ones busy and focused so mom and dad can get a quick sip. It is an important balance so we can provide a great experience for ALL of our customers. I removed some toys after we opened because kids were waltzing around the store with them. I have been amazed at how many kids come in, head to the coloring table and don't make a peep! Byebyenortheast, glad you and your family continue to feel welcome!
