AnotherThyme is a great restaurant; I'm sure you'll enjoy it! From there, you're walk will be just between .5 & .75 miles to DPAC. I'd recommend following W Main from Gregson all the way to Corcoran or Mangum and then crossing the tracks to DPAC.

Thanks much! And thanks for the info about AnotherThyme; I last ate there in February, 1994 -- the first date my wife and I took, 3 kids & 10.5 years of marriage ago... Dinner was followed by a sorority dance; I prefer going to Rent, personally.

My first date w/ my wife was also at AnotherThyme 10.5 years ago...wed we just had dinner there this past Sunday for the first time in over 6 years. Enjoy your evening!
If folks are looking for more restaurants close-in to the DPAC, I'd suggest (besides the restaurants at American Tobacco)--
Revolution ($$$$) - Main St., 2 blks away; has valet parking
Rue Cler ($$-$$$) - Chapel Hill St., 4 blks away
Piedmont ($$$) - Foster St., 5 blks / 10 min. walk
Toast ($-$$) - Main St., 3 blks walk
There are more restaurants coming soon; Cuban Revolution will open in spring, with Eno and Dos Perros opening sometime in 2009 at Rogers Alley.
Brightleaf Square (Anotherthyme, Alivia's, The Federal, Piazza Italia, Chamas, El Rodeo, Fishmonger's, Mount Fuji, Taverna Nikos) is a great choice too.
BTW -- after going to RENT the other night we went to Watts Grocery on Broad St., which is an awesome restaurant. They have a nice late night menu. We split hush-puppies, butternut squash soup, and three "sliders" burgers, plus 2 sodas for $18. Awesome!
Reporting back... the parking at DPAC was ridiculously easy. We got there about 25 minutes before showtime and snagged one of the many available on-street spaces on -- I think -- the Downtown Loop, just across the train tracks from the center. About a three minute walk. Those spaces all were filled up by the time the show started, though, so don't expect to show up 5 minutes beforehand and get a space there.
We used one of the parking decks, and the one that we chose does not charge after 7PM (probably free on weekends also). A one block walk to the venue. Extremely easy!
I just wanted to say...we parked easily for $4. RENT was *amazing!!!! We walked down to eat dinner at the Mellow Mushroom afterwards.
