The ethnic market thread inspired me.

Is there anywhere - anywhere! In this triangle area where I can get Chinese cold noodles with sesame sauce...?

Or do I have to make those too? I tried last week and they were awful

I just had some in NJ over the holidays and now the craving is back.

I don't see this on the menu of my local standbys (China Palace, Eastern Lights).

Will travel for good cold noodles but hope that doesn't mean NY or NJ.

Panda Gardern in the Harris Teeter shopping center on Sunset Lake Road (holly springs) has some cold noodles. I am also a big fan and they are pretty good.

I thought I saw them at in the prepared foods case at Trader Joe's. But there has to be a Chinese place around here that has cold noodles on the menu!

they''re not that hard to make with soba, garlic, toasted sesame oil, and salt and a pinch of heat if you like it.

I think of cold sesame noodles as more of a Japanese dish than chinese. I have seen them on the menu at Haru Sushi in Glenwood Village Shopping Center, among other places.

There's Japanese as well but this is a Szechuan dish ... I think I'll try and make them again though with a different recipe.

I bought some from the deli section in Harris Teeter the other night and they were YUMMY, YUMMY, YUMMY! I meant to eat just half of it but gobbled all of it up!

There is a new place called Noodles & Co in Cameron Village...I think I had something like you talking about. If they don't have it I don't know who would....
