I have been searching ads and everywhere else online for months and months....i'm so sick of looking at craigslist. I am moving on 1 feb and need a 4 bedroom in the fairgrounds/ncsu/cary area. I have seen some homes renting for 1050-1200 range with 4 bedrooms....this is the range I need (prefer the low end of course :-)). If there is anyone else here that can help I would be very thankful. I am getting out of the army and relocating....this is a stressful time and i need all the help and advice I can get. Thanks.

If you are seeing homes available, what sort of problems are you having with getting a lease agreement?

When we moved down from RI in May, I used a realtor to help me get a house. She was wonderful. They don't charge anything to find you a rental, they are paid by the person renting the house. Message me for more info if you are interested.

sorry if I wasn't specific enough....I am having trouble finding a place in that area in my price range with the amenities that I need. so, when I asked for help and advice i guess i was asking for info like xtina gave and hoping that maybe someone had some "insider" info on that area and the availability of rental homes. thanks again....hope this cleared it up.

I've found that when in a pinch with moving, I had to lower my 'must have amenities' to fit my price range and accept the trade-offs.

Craigslist is a pretty good resource all in all. Of course, you can also check the local papers.

But if you are can't find:
- the amenities you need (might that be "want"?)
- the area you want
- the price range you want

your best bet is to change at least one of the variables. Look at a wider area, look for less amenities, or look a bit higher in your price range.
