I'm going to be in Durham today in the area around the Millennium Hotel. I have an hour or two to kill while I'm there and I would like to get some pictures of Durham in the general vicinity of the Hotel. Anybody have suggestions on things to check out and photograph? I will post the results here on city-data.
Make sure you go south on the trail and you can find a beautiful old bridge. I would say about a mile walk south. They are eventually going to fix the bridge so the trail will connect over to more of Chatham county, but I have no idea when that will actually happen.
Also, if you go north on the trail, you can catch a nice waterfall.
And if you get really lucky, you might be able to see horses walking on the trail. You will probably see some 'remnants' of the horses, which lets you know that they were there
I hope all goes well... Look forward to seeing some pix!
Thanks for the recommendations everyone. It was a big help. I only had time to check out a few things so I hit the DPAC and the Historic Tabacco District. The results are posted here and here.
Fester, I really liked your suggestion too. I dodn't have a chance to get over there, but I have it on my "to do" list and will check it out soon. Thanks for the hot tip.
