Hello

I am looking to purchase my first diesel vehicle. I am told its best to get diesel from stations that have high turnover because of Diesel absorbs moisture if its stored for too long in the underground tanks.

Question to diesel vehicle owners out there, Are there any gas stations within Cary/Morrisville/Durham area with high turnover for Diesel? I don't want to drive to city outskirts to get diesel.

Is it really such a big issue with Diesel that I have to watch out every time where I pump or I am over thinking it?

Thanks

Try Cary Oil Company on Chapel Hill Road at Reedy Creek Rd.

And, you just may be overthinking.
I would also suggest keeping after your fuel filter and don't run your tank down to fumes and suck all the corruption off the bottom of the tank.

I think the Citgo at the corner of Airport and NC54 in Morrisville also has Diesel. Not sure.

I think the bigger issue is the low surfer diesel here in the US which is grenading the HP fuel pumps.

I will say when the triangle runs low on gas, the stations usually keep diesel on tap, at least the harris teeter near me.

"Is it really such a big issue with Diesel that I have to watch out every time where I pump or I am over thinking it?" Yes

Fresh fuel is always best, but in almost 300k miles on my Dodge 5.9 Cummins, I have never had a fuel problem, I stop where fuel is cheapest.

I don't worry about it. BMW 335d owner here, truck sized motor in a small 4 door sedan is a recipe for SO much fun.

I see a lot of large trucks fueling at Cary Oil. Probably fill their own delivery trucks as well. I managed a large fleet of trucks for many years and getting fresh fuel is a big deal.
