For those that have never done it, check it out: Untitled Document

Many do it for fun and charity, but tons (particularly NCSU students, who are still young and bulletproof) do it seriously...that is run, eat the donuts, run back. For those, there are plenty of large trash buckets at the end!

Do not let that deter you, it is a crazy fun event, with a crazy following!

Runners, get out there!

This is unequivocally one of the premier sporting and eating events of the year!
Thanks for the heads up!

(Can I just go down and eat the donuts, skipping the annoying running bit?)

I think I've already done this. I "run down" to Krispy Kreme several times a week with the kids after school. Somehow I never feel like I've had a workout when I'm finished though (more like I *need* one.)

That's just nasty, the simple thought of that. I ran the Boston Marathon, and although I knew some served beer along the route, I couldn't even bring myself to down one beer while running, it's counter-intuitive to me. ..much less downing a dozen donuts, then running again. Nasty!

I don't know, maybe it is just me, but the idea of runners and doughnuts..........well, it just does not go together.

Why doesn't KK, just stay out of the healthy lifestyle thing? It's not their cup of tea. Perhaps a diabetic awareness fund raising event would suit them better.

True, but the obesity problems in this country have lead to more premature deaths and health problems then all other factors combined. KK ranks right up there with McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King and so on as the root of the problem. Nice thought to support the Children's hospital though.

It's like Tabacco supporting lung cancer research. Sure it's a nice thing, but without their product, lung cancer to begin with would be down 90% across the board.

Ha. I guess our cowboy prefers to stay in the dark.

KK isn't sponsoring it. Its student run. College students just like donuts.
