Have elementary schools been a historically high risk environment for gang related incidents? I haven't seen that trend nationally, from what I've read.

Wow is right. Not too thrilled that it's a good thing that gang related incidents aren't too prevalent in elementary schools.

Not too happy that there is even a poll.

Sorry...I was being sarcastic...should have added my smiley...

We know that most high schools have some sort of gang presence but I haven't heard of any of the elementary schools having gangs. Can you imagine how a gang of kindergarten kids would get around??? So since we don't expect gangs in elementary schools, it seemed silly to me to see them included in the poll.

Is that true, that most HS have a gang presence? In all areas of Wake County?

Seems to be happening in either growing or less affluent areas.

That's sad. There are actually elementary schools with incidents on the list.

What constitutes a gang related incident? IT would have been nice to have the definition within the article. Statistics are misleading without the proper context. I was surprised that Wakefield High School has so many compared to other area high schools. Didn't see that one coming.

Maybe they should rate area mall as well. I bet the Triangle Town 'gang-bangin' Center would be right up there too.

Sad in a developed country we have to be even take polls like this.
