That's a shame; I'd been meaning to try Enoteca Vin too.

I was driving on Maynard @ High House today and it looked like Book Smart Used Books is gone ... does anyone know for sure?

Booksmart is still there. It moved to the other end by Brooklyn Boys Pizza. I'm not sure why. I don't know if there is a difference in rent. The new space looks larger actually.

Joe's Place in the Warehouse District of downtown is also closing this week (last day open Jan 30th)
I just read this too. Two places I really wanted to try... ugh. I hope that other local restaurants can survive through the economic hard times!

Default Dream Dinners on Durham Chapel Hill Blvd?

When we first visited this area in August 2007, I had to stop at the Verizon Wireless store on Durham Chapel Hill Blvd near the I-40 intersection. There was a Dream Dinners there, either about to open or newly opened.

I was at that same shopping center a few weeks ago, and Dream Dinners has no longer there.

Does anyone know if they moved or did they just close that location?

I heard that the Levi Store at Crabtree will be closing.

Some of these closings seem predictable to me. If you go into a store and you are the only one in there...seems like they may not be getting enough business!

It has been closed for a long time. Probably almost a year.

Yes, I think many of these closings are not economy related. They are due to mismanagement (IMHO-the issue with Vin...it had really gotten so the service was HORRIBLE) and maybe not offering a product that enough people would need, etc. I am sure the economy will be blamed for all of them though.

The Entree Vous in Morrisville is closing early next month, according to an email they sent yesterday. We went for the first time just last week and my friend and I were the only ones there...

Anyone know the latest on the owners of the Street at South Point Mall? Their 52 week high stock price was $44.23 today it closed at $0.85 cents!

I'm not surprised all those "dinner prep" places went out of business. I tried a couple. It was expensive, mediocre, and sanitarily scary. Plus, most of them still required a fair amount of work at home, so it just isn't worth it.
