NO, NO NO, today was a snow day! Tomorrow is a black ice day! What's ice on a cold day??? Disaster! What's ice on a hot day? Refreshing! Its all relative! For those working in WCPSS.....ENJOY!!!!
I don't work for WCPSS so its like the words of Charlie Brown. Hey I got a Rock>>?? Happy Tuesday!
it's only good for the kids - for most teachers to take the snow days we have to use leave time!
Is that true? If your place of employment is closed how could you get penalized and be force to use you leave time? What if you don't have any leave time? Do you go without pay? YIKES!
Yes it is true. Any employee electing not to come in (teachers or other admin. staff) must take annual leave in the event the school system is closed. You can also elect to come in and work (Staff side of things). No one is forced to take a day off.

I came in at 9 today (usually 7) so I don't lose a day of work. I do IT stuff going school to school so when the schools are closed, I have nothing to do but sit at our office and stare at the walls or not get paid/lose vacation days.
I picked staring at walls today..
