We are moving back to Chapel Hill from Fl (yeah)! We now have 3 kids, one of whom is adopted from Ethiopia. We are coming back for many reasons, but mainly because of the international population in Chapel Hill and the great schools. We are looking into Rashkis, Scroggs, Glenwood, and Seawell Elementary Schools. Are we on target? Are these schools diverse and academically strong? Are we overlooking any schools? Are all three High School Top notch? Any advice is appreciated.
Don't overlook the new Morris Grove Elementary school that just started this academic year. It's on the northwest end of town and has kids from both Chapel Hill and Carrboro attending there. My two younger sons attend Morris Grove and we have been very pleased so far. The older of the two likes it a lot better than he liked Ephesus Elementary. The school is beautiful and very environmentally friendly. Also, there are kids of many nationalities in both of my sons' classes.
