Looks like the owners of the golf course are trying to get some rent money. Wonder if that means the course won't open this year. That property has been in dispute for a few years now.
Interesting though. Haven't been to one of these things for years.
Where can one rent a suit of armor for this event...I would hate to show up under dressed! It would also be cool to ride up in a horse fully armored!
I'm wondering if those two weekend all the rennie faeries will be taking over the walmart ... making it even freakier at night! They certainly won't be eating at the corral!

I used to love the Renaissance Festival back when I lived in Maryland which ironically also occurred in a parcel of land very close to my house. I’m thinking that with this news of the NC faire taking place in my adopted hometown of Wake Forest I may be able to persuade some of my friends up north to visit me in late March and early April. I sure hope and pray that the weather is nice!
We went to this Renaissance Fair near Charlotte last year. I wonder how the two fairs compare. I have a daughter who loves the fairs and I'm thinking a trip to Wake Forest would be better than driving all the way to Charlotte again.
