I listen to the Weekend Gardner talk show on WPTF 680 AM every saturday morning to get tips on gowing plants here in the Triangle and they often talk about this place called "The Garden Hut" located in Fuquay Varina. I was thinking of making a trip down there one weekend, but as I am N. Raleigh it will be a bit of a drive so I was hoping to get some insight from people who have been to The Garden Hut about what it is like. Is it just a typical nursery or is it worth a special trip? Thanks!

Typical nursery, great odd pieces inside, the glass hummingbird feeders, some real nice plants a trip just to see whats there probably not. if you are in the area sure a good bet. They are great people who own the place, good prices a positive addition to the community. we buy all kinds of plants and mulch from them.

The open house will probably be a good time to visit, I think it is today.

Thumbs up Great Place!

I answered my own question with a trip to the Garden Hut in Fuquay yesterday. It is a great place run by good people. They were holding a demo class on how to prune local area plants, trees, and shrubs. I was happy to see 60+ people in attendance at a nursery in the middle of winter. I think that speaks to how well regarded this place is.

BTW, just say no to Crepe Murder!

Hey NRG, have you been to Homewood Nursery? It's right near your neighborhood, and in a gorgeous setting.
